Newly returned to work after a nice 10 and half month maternity break I’ve been looking forward to the sanity that a professional environment and work brings. Having been employed for many years I have recently taken the plunge into the unchartered waters of self-employment, both as a lawyer and a blogger.…Continue Reading
In honour of Halloween and inspired by one of the final tasks in The Great British Bake Off, I decided I’d make a two-tiered fruit Pavlova for a dinner party on Saturday night. If you fancy trying it, here’s how:…Continue Reading

My dad is Spanish, from the Canary Islands, Spain’s southern-most archipelago. The island that is home for us is the third smallest out of seven Canary Islands. Seven?!? I hear you cry. I bet you thought there were only four islands. But they’re aren’t, there are seven and the one I’m going to talk to you about here is La Palma.…Continue Reading
We recently returned from a beautiful holiday in the Canary Islands (see the post on ‘A little Taste of Paradise’ here). We had a fabulous time and both Toddler and Baby were as good as gold, even sleeping in until 7.30am on some days. Something has to give, doesn’t it? Well, of course, it does.…Continue Reading

Errr, ok. Was my instant thought. I answered quickly, “yes, okay. That would be nice”.
